Coyotes Field Trips

The Arizona Coyotes, in Collaboration with the National Hockey League, have created the Coyotes Field Trips program to provide students in grade levels 3-8 the opportunity to learn STEM through hockey at a visit to a local rink.

FAQ's

Q: What does a field trip look like?
A: Upon arrival, students will check-in and join the welcome party. Once inside the students will participate hockey and STEM-based stations. At the conclusion of the stations, lunch will be served while the group plays a trivia game to recap everything they've learned during the field trip.

Q: How long is a field trip?
A: Approximately 3 hours, but the schedule can be customized to the school's preferences. 

Q: Does this program cost money for the school?
A: No, transportation and lunch fees are covered by the Coyotes.

Q: Who arranges the transportation?
A: The school is responsible for coordinating transportation to and from the ice rink, but the Coyotes will arrange transportation if the school or district is unable to.

Q: Will the students be skating?
A: There won't be any skating during the field trip, but students will participate in on-ice activities while standing on carpets placed on the ice.

Q: Are chaperones/volunteers required to attend?
A: We recommend 1 chaperone for every 10 students.
